It's another girl...

Not that I'm stuck on announcements or anything, twas just having a fiddle this afternoon and this is what resulted.

It's a 5x7 sized psd file, with an opening to fit a 2.5 x 3.5 inch photo, and possibly my favourite so far. But that's bound to change as soon as the next day. :)
If you'd like to try it out, feel free to download it here.

IT'S A GIRL!

Or a boy. Whatever you want it to be. :)
This afternoon's bit of fun is a 5x7 birth announcement, with a 3.5x5 opening.
I was inspired by someone mentioning they were after some, and whilst I have no idea of what exactly she has in mind I thought I'd give one a whirl.
So if anyone else has any ideas they'd love to see, gimme a yell. I'm all up for some more inspiration. :)

A bit of background...

So I decided to have bit of a play today making some background papers. It's actually quite fun. This is my favourite from the day's work (or is that play...)

And as an example of how it can be used (with the beautiful AR as my model)

Click here if you'd like to download it (it's free!), and have a play with it yourself.
It's a 20x20 inch PSD file and, as you can see, reasonably customisable. To change the colour simply choose the Pattern layer, the colour you want, and the paint bucket tool. Then click on the area you want changed. It may take a few clicks to change the whole lot, but experiment and see what you come up with. :)

Please feel free to let me know what you think, and some examples of what you do with it would be great. Ideas for further designs would be welcome too.

Have a Happy Monday all. xx

A template a day keeps the boredom away.

A had a wild idea today to try and add a template here every day. Not because I'm bored - far from it, with 2 little ones to play with all day. But more to keep the creative juices flowing, and to get some 'time-out' in my head.
I know it will never happen though. I'll fizz out in a week or so, no matter how good my intentions are. It's hard enough keeping up with the photo-a-day challenge of both our children.
So, anyway, here's today's inspiration. It's nice and simple, but I love it so far. Who knows after I've looked at it a hundred times. LOL

And today, because it's a good day, you can download SleepingBeauty for free - just because you've made it this far. Click here to go to the download page. I hope you enjoy it. :)

(It's an 8x10, by the way...)

OK - on with my first real post. STORYBOARD TEMPLATES FOR SALE HERE.

How's that? Straight to the point. :)
As part of my expanding business (taking photos) I have been designing templates for storyboards and collages. I used to do this manually back in the good old days of cutting actual, real matt boards. I can't tell you how many times I had to scrap a job halfway through because of a slip of the blade, or a miscalculation with measurements. Thankfully I did improve greatly, and even better we've now moved into the digital world where the only thing my mistakes cost me is time.
Running my own business (well, the beginnings of it) as well as a family I know how valuable time is. That's why I LOVE templates! I love how much easier they can make the whole process of putting a collection of images together, whether it's for myself or for a client.
Anyway - I've put what I've done so far together into 3 sets, according to sizes. And I'm offering them for sale at what I would consider a great price. You can buy the sets individually, or as a complete package. Let me tempt you with some thumbnails :)

These templates (above) are all sized at 10x20 inches. There are 11 templates in total, 3 with text options (though they are all fully customizable and able to have text added if you wish), and 2 with rounded edges to the cut-outs.

The following are the 16x20 inch templates, 8 in total - again, all fully customisable.

And last, but not least, are the 20x20 inch templates. There are 12 in total with these ones. And no, the two pink ones in the middle are not the same, in case you're thinking I made a boo-boo here. The one on the right has rounded edges. :)

Currently I'm offering these sets at $20 each (Australian dollars), or $50 if you purchase all three together. This would work out to about US$18 per set, and US$45 for the complete package. They are unflattened PSD files, and come with a low resolution JPEG copy of each file so that you don't have to keep opening the files to remind yourself what they look like. Please excuse the file names - I had enough trouble naming my own two children, let alone 31 storyboard templates. lol

Please use the 'Buy Now' buttons in the side-bar if you wish to make a purchase. Payment is by Paypal only, and please make sure to include your email address if you want them sent to an address other than the one used for your paypal account. I will endeavour to email the files within 24 hours of payment being received.

I need to learn how to use titles to my advantage....

I'm not very good at these things. Really.
I sit here half the night thinking about how to write want I want to, and the other half thinking how to title it. So I apologise in advance if my titles are boring, or just plain crazy in my attempt to make them humourous. Perhaps I should just stick with making them say what they need to and leave it at that....
Anyone out there with some handy tips for me in this regard?
